Fuselage Riveting Day 8
After a few days out of town again, it was back into the shop for more fuselage riveting tonight. I am happy to announce that I am almost done. All I need to do now is rivet the baggage ribs to the F-706 bulkhead and I'll be ready to go canoeing.
My assistants for the evening were my friend Terry and his son Evan. Terry started the riveting and Even took over about half way through. I didn't have the heart to tell him, but I think Evan was a little better with the gun than his dad. ;-) Thanks guys!!!
What a beautiful sight... no more clecos!
Terry and Evan were just about to hit the road but I convinced them to stay for just a few more rivets, where they helped me install the F-796 Tank Attach Assemblies.
I can't tell you how happy I am to be at this point. I just have about one more night's worth of work and she will be ready to flip.
