Left Tank Inspection Cover
Could this be it? Could this be my last official tank sealing task?!?! Before I get to excited, I will want to make sure there are no leaks, but I can't help but think that this could be it (the last batch of sealant).
Scuffed, cleaned and ready for sealant. I hate when the pictures come out dark like this... grrrr!
Not much sealant is left, so thank goodness this is the last official tank task.
I am not sure, but I think I saw this on Sam Buchanan's web site. Anyway, I cut down the bristles of an acid brush to make spreading the sealant for the cover easier.
Gooped up and ready to go! You don't need much sealant here, and oh yea, I decided to skip the cork gaskets that came from Van's.
Cover installed, and the rib rivets have been sealed. I am not sure if I need this much sealant in this area, but it can't hurt. I am going to give this tank a few days of cure time before I attempt to leak test it.
