Right Tank Drain & Cap Flanges

More tank stuff tonight. It feels good to be getting this done, but I still have a long way to go. I focused on the right side drain and cap flanges tonight.

Looks good from the inside.

And from the outside too.

I am using the deluxe caps, so the rivet lengths needed are different than those called for on the plans. Last week, I came across a useful diagram on the bottom of this page on Todd Moeller's web site. I used his rivet callouts to rivet the cap flange, and it worked great. I love it when I don't have to think! Before I started riveting, I wrote the lenght of the rivets on the outside of the tank and verified that they were in fact the correct length. I set these rivets wet, meaning I dabbed some sealant into each dimple with a toothpick before inserting the rivets.

All done and clean.
