Prep Left Tank Skin
Holy cow it is hot! The weather here has been horrible with temps in the 100s. It has been unpleasant in the shop so not much has been getting done. Tonight I dimpled, scuffed and cleaned the left tank skin to get it ready to accept the cap and drain flanges and the stiffeners.
Nothing exciting here, just some dimpling. I used my Cleveland Tank Dimple Dies on the skins for the first time.
First I put blue tape down where I didn't want to scuff, then I scrubbed (scuffed) each rivet line with a maroon scotch-brite pad in a criss-cross pattern. Once that was done, it was time to put on the protective gear and wipe it all down with MEK.
