Dimpling HS Skins

Earlier in the week I built a platform for my DRDT-2 Dimpling frame. It only took me about and hour and I think it came out pretty good. Today I came home from work early and decided to get some dimpling done, I got about half a sheet dimpled but it is just too darn hot in the garage so I cut it short. We are headed out tonight anyway and I didn't want to get all sweaty before going to dinner, so I will pick up here tomorrow. I will say one thing, dimpling with the DRDT-2 is easy and it produces consistant results every time, and I am very happy with it.

Here is the platform I built. It is a little different than the one in the plans they send you.

I drilled some holes in my worktalbe and secured the DRDT-2 down with some bolts, washers and wing nuts. You definately need to secure the DRDT-2 if you want nice crisp dimples.

This is so easy with the DRDT-2. You can't see it, but I am using a little step stool so that I am raised higher and have more leverage.

A nice feature of the DRDT-2 is that it allow you to reach far into skins such as the HS skin seen here.

Nice dimples! Every one exactly the same.

Note to self... Buy air conditioner for the garage!
